Kelly is a Philadelphia based actor, comedian, and improv instructor. She is a military brat who was born in the Philippines and grew up in South Korea and Germany. She graduated in 2013 from Suffolk University in Boston where she studied Media Communication and Theater Arts.
After graduating, Kelly completed Company One Theater’s Professional Development for Actors Program, taught by Victoria Marsh and Rosalind Clark-Thomas. She went on to perform in the Boston Actors Theater’s movement piece, Dancing Wilde, as well as TC Squared Theatre Company’s devised work, The Great War Theatre Project. She also plays the lead in short film, “Hero for Hire,” which was officially selected for the Independent Days International Film Fest and the Shahu International Short Film Festival.
Kelly grew sick of Boston and moved to Philadelphia.
In the summer of 2016, after visiting her folks in Germany, Kelly went straight from the Philadelphia International Airport to the Philly Improv Theater (PHIT) to audition for the newest house sketch team. After being cast as a performer on The Decoy (Philly Sketch Fest, Black Friday Comedy Marathon), Kelly went on to complete the improv curriculum at PHIT and was cast on improv house team, Hooch (We the People Improv Festival, Bechdel Test Fest), improv team Not Yet Rated, and POC Comedy Troupe, NYTEShift (Del Close Comedy Marathon, Black Friday Comedy Festival, We the People Improv Festival, Mad Ethnic Festival).
In the summer of 2017, Kelly was cast in the Philadelphia Premiere of Chicago based Physical Theater Company, Theater Unspeakable’s, American Revolution. In spring 2018, she joined the cast of Anti Gravity Performance Project’s, Dear Diary LOL for Ice Factory 25 at the New Ohio Theater in NYC. After a very successful run, they were invited back for an encore run a month later.
Kelly continues to perform with The Decoy, Hooch, NYTEShift, and Not Yet Rated. Check out the Shows page for, you guessed it, upcoming shows!
